Solo exhibition "H9-21", BWA Sanok Gallery, 22/02/2019-23/03/2019. "H9-21" The hero of the exhibition is autosan H9-21 and its derivatives. This vehicle was produced in the Sanok Bus Factory Autosan in the years 1973-2006, the pre-production series appeared already in 1970. Work on the project lasted from 1967, the well-known painter Zdzisław Beksiński participated in it. Certain stylistic elements from the design of his prototype were smuggled into the production model. The photographic documentation presented at the exhibition includes vehicles in various colors from 180 Polish cities. No other public transport vehicle has been so popular. It is highly probable that everyone who is 30 or older today has traveled with such a vehicle at least once in their life. Many documented machines no longer exist, numerous branches of the State Bus Transport have been sold or declared bankruptcy. Also, city variants H9-35 with folding doors are a rarity today. Apart from photographic documentation, the exhibition will feature paintings inspired by the most characteristic design elements of this Polish bus.
